Feature allows performing the exceptional handling of the missing child piece including the parent piece at the time of rider reconciliation during Consignment Balance.

The exception handling is also shown and logged in CN tracking for both piece and the parent CN.

At the time of rider reconciliation in the Hub, there can be an exception handling (shortage/Excess) for the items that have been misplaced in transit.

If the rider has to submit 10 pieces (5 CN, 2 pieces each), and in case he loses any piece and is not able to submit, or he has some other piece, there will be an exception applied by the supervisor (who is reconciling) and allow proceeding for the reconciliation. Further, the journey of the CN will be handled by fewer pieces only.

Solution:

This feature applies the “missing in reconciliation” exception to CN pieces that are not scanned/missed by the hub supervisor during reconciliation.

It also shows a warning message – “Below pieces are missing during Reconcile”  before completing the reconciliation of the Consignment Balance.

Dialog box to confirm the “missing in reconcile” tag

The status of missing pieces will be “Exception” and the event name will be – “missing in reconcile” until those pieces are reconciled again at the parent and piece level. This is crucial when handling packages of volumes up to 10,000/day; having this feature built into the software will make sure no CN piece is left unattended and ultimately save operational costs for the organization.
