Shipsy, a SaaS-based intelligent supply chain and logistics management solution provider, announced the appointments of Deb Deep Sengupta, Ex-SAP, as an Advisor to Shipsy and Mohamed Reza, Ex-MetricStream, as Head of Marketing. The company also highlighted that it promoted Pradeep Mishra as the Director of Engineering.

This development comes when Shipsy is rolling out aggressive expansion plans and strengthening its foothold in the global supply chain and logistics market.

The leading SaaS provider aims to capitalize on the trio’s in-depth domain knowledge and extensive experience in devising an innovative growth strategy, expedite research and product development activities, and boost the company’s brand value across geographies.

Deb Deep Sengupta is an alumnus of the prestigious London Business School. With more than 25 years of experience, he has a proven track record of driving enterprise-wide transformation. A former President and MD at SAP, one of the world’s largest software technology firms, he pioneered the company’s legacy On-Prem software business to a market leadership position in Cloud in South Asia. As an Advisor, Sengupta will be overseeing the planning and execution of business strategies to improve operational efficiency and financial management.

Mohamed Reza has joined Shipsy as the Vice President of Marketing. He was previously associated with MetricStream, where he headed essential portfolios of the Director of Strategic Initiatives and the Head of Marketing for Europe. During his ten-year journey with the brand, Reza built the demand generation for Europe while opening the doors for business in the Middle East. He also worked with Microsoft for more than four years. At Shipsy, Reza will be responsible for the marketing function with an extended focus on building Shipsy’s presence in newer regions, primarily the Middle East, which holds the company’s RHQ and eventually to other geographies.

Pradeep Mishra, throughout his long-term association with the company, has been spearheading technological breakthroughs across major projects. In his new role, he will be providing technical guidance to the engineering teams for project development and devising strategies to meet organizational goals.

Commenting on the novel hirings, Soham Chokshi, CEO & Co-Founder of Shipsy said, “Going forward, we need a strong suite of leaders to drive our business at a global stage. We are certain that the recent hirings and elevations will bring a mix of the domain-expertise and fresh outlook, needed to assist our efforts in achieving our growth objectives.”

From a human resource perspective, Shipsy recorded significant growth this year across different functions.

“Shipsy’s net headcount the addition is strong as we’ve increased our talent pool by 25% during this span. This shows our ability to attract and retain the best talent with compelling engagement strategies,” Chokshi added.
