A new fake GPS-detection mode is added in rider’s app to prevent delivery partners from using fake GPS to trigger fake delivery attempts and other frauds.
With this new feature, riders won’t be able to mock location inside geofencing and will help businesses reduce rider frauds.
● On every step in the rider app till the order is assigned, there would be a check whether in rider device in developer options is “mock location”(in reference to the updatable location permission which Fake GPS apps use) ‘ON’.
● If found to be so, a pop up would appear saying “Please turn off mock location” and auto check out the rider.
● Fake GPS ‘ON’ & ‘OFF’ events would be stored in database to track the number of times rider has been caught with a fake GPS.
● The auto checkout will be configurable at organisation level.
