Taking Customer Security To The Next Level: Shipsy is Fully SOC Compliant Now

Being a customer-first organization, customer trust and data security is of utmost importance to us. We are constantly working towards aligning our data security practices with the latest certifications. Today, we’re proud to announce that Shipsy is SOC 2 Type II compliant.

What Being SOC 2 Compliant Means

SOC 2 (System and Organization Control) is a technical auditing process that includes standards defined by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA)’s Service Organization Control reporting platform. It ensures complete security, integrity, confidentiality, and privacy of customers’ data.

SOC 2 Type I (which we have long been compliant with) defines the organization’s systems, and their designs & practices meet trust principles. Taking things up a notch, Type II focuses on the operational effectiveness of Type I, and can be obtained after six months of achieving the first milestone.

Why SOC 2 Compliance Matters To Us!

At Shipsy, we take data security seriously; hence we leave no stone unturned to meet industry standards. By adhering to SOC 2 Type II standards and getting this certification, we continue our longstanding commitment to security and data privacy. We now excel in all the below-mentioned areas that define SOC 2 Type II compliance.

Ensuring Privacy and Security

This means that all the data related to PII (Personally Identifiable Information) is prevented from unauthorized access. It also refers to the fact that all our endpoints, especially employee devices, are protected from system abuse and data theft.

Driving Process Integrity

This highlights that Shipsy’s systems can accurately process data and deliver the same as and when needed, keeping the integrity of the data intact.

Upholding Confidentiality

Ensuring high levels of confidentiality is necessary for both our customers and us as an organization. From deploying robust data encryption to securing our networks with advanced firewalls and ensuring efficient access control management, Shipsy ensures end-to-end confidentiality of data.

Round The Clock Network Availability and Monitoring

Be it a customer or internal stakeholders, SOC 2 compliance ensures that our systems are available around the clock. It also points out that we successfully monitor our network performance at all times, and aptly respond to incidents as soon as possible.

What This Means For Our Customers

Shipsy’s SOC 2 Type II compliance means our customers can rest assured of the security and privacy of their data. It indicates that we have all the appropriate security procedures, controls, and enterprise-grade security features to reduce and mitigate the risks and breaches. Moreover, we also conduct regular audits to safeguard our customers’ important and confidential data.

In addition to the above, we are also compliant with other industry standards such as GDPR and ISO 27001 (Information Security Management).
